In the world today, the gap between North and South continues to grow but thanks to groups such as The World Bank and other major names such as, Amnesty International and UNICEF. In terms of what The World Bank does is, they are a organization that will lend money to another country on strict grounds of what they need to be able to apply to get this funding. The World Bank is part of the U.N so they try to create peace and better living conditions for countries around the world. An up-to-date act The World Bank and other organizations has taken, was the right for women to own land and have a certificate proving they do in Ethiopia. After a 2-year agreement, the rights for women to own land finally came through making them feel equal to the men, and be a happy citizen in Ethiopia.
